Training Congratulations!

All of our chapters are now up and running for the 08-09 school year! We have students in all 5 boroughs in 7 schools. Training for all 18 participants was a wonderful success and we are thrilled to have all of the chapters moving forward training other students and spreading the word about healthy eating.

The trainings included a number of games, activities, and workshops designed to deepen students' understanding of food and nutrition issues. Participants cooked, discussed food and income inequality, traced food from farm to table and learned more about diet-related diseases. Best of all, the participants were able to practice facilitation techniques with their peers, and give one another constructive feedback.

We want to thank all of the participants for their hard work and the time they spent with us. It says a lot of about all them that they'd give up three evenings to spend with us here at the Food Bank.

Congratulations and our deepest thanks. It's going to be a wonderful spring.
